This hospital needs updating as it is very tired and not what one would expect of a private hospital which is expensive to be treated in.There we’re exceptions on the staff who were very good at their job but there were many who didn’t seem to know what was expected and a one particular receptionist was particularly rude. The contact by telephone to get an update is non existent. My wife could not get any person to answer the phone to get an update on my condition after my op but got an answer machine that stated someone would phone her back in a few hours but no one did. After obtaining a different t number, my wife did speak to someone asking to be out through to level 1 but was told someone would phone her back and again no one did. This is an anxious time and important to be able to speak to someone. The food choices were very poor as was the actual cooking. You don’t expect 5* food but you do expect, warm, edible food. As the medical side at this hospital is 5* it is a shame the same cannot be said about this particular hospital. The Ramsay hospital in Banbury is do much better.
The care was brilliant.
The admin from the Manor Surgery was really disappointing. My mother had to physically go in to make the MRI appointment as there were no email/ phone replies.
I couldn’t move at all at that point and desperate. My consultant had physically hand delivered the request so the inactivity from the Manor was very surprising!
My daughter recently had to have an operation and the nurses and doctors who cared for her were excellent. The facilities were kept to a high standard, we were treated with compassion and respect.
Very nice hospital, very clean great service
The Manor Hospital Oxford is everything a good private hospital should be. Have been to many hospitals this year as part of on going cancer treatment many have been disappointing but this hospital excelled in every area. It is run with meticulous precision and made the process so much easier to deal with. From the Surgeon Professor Stuart Winters down to Caroline Ghivara my carer well done to all involved !
I cannot fault this hospital. What struck me was that despite the current staff shortage problems everywhere, there were always plenty of staff available. I believe there were some agency/bank staff, but they were of such quality that it was difficult to tell who they were except for the uniforms. I tried not to be a nuisance, but I did need help getting to the bathroom, for some reason more at night, but they always came within seconds of being called. They were also careful to let me sleep whenever possible. They were a cheerful, tolerant caring team - a credit to the hospital.
very efficient and good personal attention
I received excellent care by excellent theatre staff and amazing ward staff 5 star service and food also high quality it’s an amazing experience
I have stayed as a private patient at the Manor a number of times for up to 2+ weeks at a time. I have each time been cared for very well, even when it was Christmas Eve right through to New Year!
The care I received at The Manor Hospital Oxford was great. Staff were kind and compassionate and really looked after me well during my stay. The best hospital care I have ever had.
